The Young Romantics

Begin our 54th season with an intimate chamber‐music experience. 13 musicians draw out the brilliance of Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 4, followed by a charming excerpt from Mozart’s Horn Concerto No. 2. Perfect for newcomers and longtime fans alike, this opening event sets the tone for a season of youthful energy and Romantic warmth.

Time & Remembrance

Venue: Church of the Redeemer, West Monroe LA
Join us for an evening of reflection and grandeur. We open with Mendelssohn’s evocative Fingal’s Cave Overture, travel through Haydn’s majestic “London” Symphony, and feature James Boldin as soloist in Mozart’s lyrical Horn Concerto No. 2. A program designed to stir the heart and mind.

Holiday Brass

Celebrate the season with fanfare. Our brass players bring festive favorites—from joyful chorales to noble fanfares—in an evening of warmth and sparkle. A perfect holiday outing for family and friends.

POPS: Love is in the Air

Date & Time: Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 7 pm
Venue: ULM Bayou Pointe, Monroe LA
Waltz into spring with Strauss and Offenbach. Enjoy the exuberance of the Fledermaus Overture, the sweep of the Blue Danube, and a selection of beloved waltzes and polkas. Dessert and dancing follow each performance, making for an unforgettable, light‑hearted celebration.

String Chamber Concert

An evening of richly textured string repertoire in an intimate recital‐hall setting. Our MSO string section presents everything from beloved salon pieces to Romantic showpieces, perfect for an up‑close musical experience.

Season Finale

Venue: Church of the Redeemer, West Monroe LA
Bring the season to a triumphant close. Meet our Marjorie Stricklin Emerging Artist Competition winner, Elijah Asmussen, in a heartfelt concerto spotlight. Then feel the rush of Rossini’s Semiramide Overture and the expansive warmth of Brahms’s Symphony No. 2. A grand conclusion you won’t want to miss.
